I started playing music as TDJ 4 years ago, having started tango lessons no more than a year before that. When it comes to music in general I am a bit of an “old soul” enjoying the music of the 80s and 70s so tango music came natural to me. Initially ,years before having any direct contact to the tango world, I was drawn to modern and nuevo orchestras like Piazzolla, Gotan Project, Electrocutango and so on, but once I stepped into this world i quickly discovered the vast music that was hidden from the large public eye. Even though i started tango for the dancing, I stayed for the music. I cannot say that I have one favorite orchestra, they vary throughout the year. I like to savor a bit of everything. On the ronda, i keep a keen eye and ear to what people enjoy dancing to and then tailor the tandas to the dancers.
